Jürgen Klopp has not completely ruled out a return as Liverpool coach in the future.

"I said that I would never coach another team in England again. So that means if it's Liverpool... yes. Theoretically, it's possible," the Red Bull head of soccer told the podcast The Diary of a CEO.

Klopp resigned from the Reds last year and has emphasized on several occasions that he didn't intend to return to coaching for the time being.

Since the beginning of the year, he has served as global head of soccer for Red Bull, where his responsibilities include co-managing Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.

Under Klopp's successor, Arne Slot, Liverpool won their 20th league title last season.

For now, however, a coaching comeback is out of the question for Klopp.

"I'm 58, which means I could make the decision in a few years, I don't know. Do I have to make the decision today? Then I won't work as a coach anymore," he said.

"But thank God I don't have to. I can just wait and see what the future brings.

"I don't miss it, I don't miss standing in the rain for two and a half or three hours, I don't miss going to press conferences four or three times a week or giving 10 to 12 interviews a week," he added.

In the podcast, Klopp also spoke about the death of his former player Diogo Jota, whom he signed from league rivals Wolves in 2020. "How do you replace someone like Diogo? It's not about the player himself, it's about the person he was," Klopp said.

"I can't imagine the dressing room without him, it's so hard. I still can't really talk about it. It was an incredible shock for all the guys too."

Jota and his brother Andre Silva died in a car accident in July.
