At least 12 people have been killed in an explosion at a chemical plant in India, according to Telangana State Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha.
He told the Hindustan Times that more than 30 workers were injured, some of them critically.
The explosion triggered a major fire in an industrial area near the city of Hyderabad.
The cause was initially unclear. It is suspected that a chemical reactor exploded, the Deccan Chronicle newspaper reported.
Most of the victims were workers at the Sigachi company, which manufactures pharmaceutical and chemical products.
