A baby girl was born at Aster Hospital Mankhool at 12.10am on Wednesday, coinciding with the start of Eid Al Adha celebrations in the UAE.
The newborn, named Kaira Lat Trimidad, weighed 3.025kg and was delivered via Emergency Lower Segment Caesarean Section (LSCS), a hospital statement said.
Her parents, Joshua Trimidad and Almira Lat Trimidad, who are Filipino nationals, expressed gratitude for the safe delivery and the care provided by the medical team.
Speaking on the occasion, the parents said: “First of all, we thank God for the successful delivery of our beautiful baby girl. Today, while our Muslim brothers and sisters celebrate Eid Al Adha, we are happy to share in the joy of this special occasion through the birth of our baby girl.
“As first-time parents, this journey was not easy for us, but we are very thankful to the doctors and nurses for guiding us with kindness, care, and professionalism every step of the way,” the parents said.
The father is an engineer by profession, while the mother works as a sales project coordinator. They have been living in the UAE for the past three years.
The parents of the newborn specially thanked Dr Susmita Das and her team, and nurse Alyna, for taking care of the mother during labour.
“We would also like to sincerely thank the hospital for making this experience safe, comforting, and truly memorable for our family,” they said.
