Plane crash in Moscow Region: 3 crew members presumed dead, says Russian ministry

MOSCOW (ALETIHAD)

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) confirmed on Friday that a Sukhoi Superjet plane with three crew members aboard crashed in the Kolomna city of the Moscow Region, Sputnik reported.

"A Sukhoi Superjet 100 plane crashed in the Moscow Region. The plane went down in a forest area​​​. There were three crew members in the airplane. According to preliminary information, they were killed," the ministry said in a statement, adding that the accident did not lead to any casualties on the ground.

According to the Russian news agency (TASS), the plane had been on a test flight after repairs and belonged to Gazpromavia, an airline owned by gas giant Gazprom.
