The iconic Louvre Abu Dhabi is celebrating its eighth anniversary on Friday, November 7, and hosting several cultural, wellness and family activities to mark the occasion.
The premier arts and culture hub on Saadiyat Island is inviting the public to enjoy a "Night at the Museum", with an evening programme that includes: a movie screening; invigorating fitness classes on the rooftop and rejuvenating relaxation sessions; a unique gallery tour; or create your own masterpiece.
For one night only, enjoy exclusive after-hours access to the galleries. The Mamluks exhibition, Art Here 2025, the Children's Museum and the VR experience will all remain open until 1am.
Here are some of the activities offered this weekend.
Family Film Screening
There will be a free screening of "Night at the Museum" on Friday, November 7, at 7pm in the Auditorium Plaza.
The 2006 family comedy stars Ben Stiller as a security guard who is hired as night watchman at the Museum of Natural History. He soon discovers that an ancient curse brings all the exhibits to life after the sun sets. Suddenly, he finds himself face-to-face with a T. Rex skeleton, tiny armies of Romans and cowboys and a mischievous monkey who taunts him to breaking point. But with the help of President Teddy Roosevelt, he may just figure out a way to control the chaos and become a hero in his son's eyes.
Spinning Sessions
Take part in a spinning class with a difference on November 7 and 8. Head to the Gallery 12 rooftop for a 60-minute silent disco cycling experience in collaboration with CRANK Fitness, featuring live DJ beats, lasers, and stunning city views.

Floating Immersive Breathwork
On Friday evening, unwind with a deeply immersive floating breathwork session in the Dome Plaza, in collaboration with wellness studio Breasy. Featuring immersive soundscapes and innovative mindfulness techniques, this is your time to float, breathe and recharge.

Flashlight Gallery Experience
See the Louvre in a whole new light. Try out this unique one-hour gallery tour, with the lights dimmed and explore the Permanent Galleries using only a flashlight.
Book an Easel
Join a guided 60-minute painting session in the Dome Plaza, and unlock your creativity at your own pace, supported by museum educators.
Community Mural
A free and fun activity for all ages, join the museum community in creating a large-scale collaborative mural, using materials inspired by the museum's collections and architecture.
Quantum Dome VR Experience
For a fully immersive history lesson, travel back through the ages and explore the ancient landscapes of imperial Rome, medieval Baghdad and Mughal India. The 30-minute virtual reality takes place in the Lower Forum.
