The Dezhou Acrobatic Troupe of Shandong Province, China, is set to captivate audiences in Abu Dhabi with a mesmerising 90-minute performance, “A Moonment to Remember”, which forms part of the “Time Together across the Strait” cultural showcase.
The Mid-Autumn Festival production, being staged at the Cultural Foundation on September 27 at 8pm, features 25 performers presenting 12 acts, blending traditional Chinese artistry with modern acrobatic techniques.
Highlights include the graceful “Hundreds of Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix”, the dramatic Face-Changing from Sichuan opera, and the dazzling “Flying Fork”, where acrobats perform stunning aerial feats.
Other standout acts include “Moonlight Over the Lotus Pond - Umbrella Pedaling”, ‘Joyful Songs on the Country Road - Straw Hat”, and the heart-stopping “Leaping Over the Dragon Gate - Hoop Jumping”, where acrobats soar through hoops stacked up to 2.15 metres high.
Concluding with a vibrant curtain call, the performance promises an exhilarating celebration of Chinese cultural heritage and artistic mastery.
