Abu Dhabi Media Network announces exceptional results for its Ramadan 2024 season grid

ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

Abu Dhabi Media Network, the UAE’s leading public service broadcaster and media company, announced exceptional results for its Ramadan 2024 program lineup, with a remarkable success in viewership and reach across its diverse platforms and significant increase in interaction rates on digital and social platforms.

Five original drama series and exclusive programs featured on Abu Dhabi TV during Ramadan, with the top 10 programs and series ranked amongst the most watched in the UAE. These exceptional results underscore the popularity of Abu Dhabi TV network and ADtv application, with a significant leap for the total number of views for their Ramadan programs and series lineup in 2024, according to a periodic market survey. Additionally, "Al Mughared" ranked number one in the UAE in the category of social dialogue programs.

"Al Emarat" TV ranked among the top five most-watched channels in the UAE due to its distinguished lineup of programs, most notably "Al Shara".

This success reaffirms the Network’s new strategic vision, which aims to enhance the media landscape through innovation in media and digital content.

Original Series 

Abu Dhabi Media Network productions and original programs shown on Abu Dhabi TV ranked among the most-watched Arabic series in the UAE, including the series “Khattaf”, “Al Boum”, “Raheel”, “Bel Qanoon”, and the “Qalbi Etma’an” program. In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the series “Raheel” and “Al Boum” were among the most viewed during Ramadan on Abu Dhabi TV. Furthermore, Abu Dhabi TV achieved a 10% increase in its reach across the UAE during the 2024 Ramadan season compared to 2023.

Digital Platforms

The digital platforms of Abu Dhabi Network, ADtv app and social media platforms recorded 437 million views, a growth of 228% compared to 133 million views in 2023.

Views on the Abu Dhabi TV digital platform increased from 97,200,000 in 2023 to 345,100,000 views in 2024. Meanwhile, the number of views on Al Emarat TV digital platforms increased by 19%, and Baynounah TV’s digital platform views increased by 218% during 2024, compared to last year’s Ramadan.

The series “Raheel” earned the highest number of views among all the programs and series presented by Abu Dhabi Media Network through its digital platforms during Ramadan 2024, with 93,300,000 views. This was followed by the series “Haq Arab”, which achieved 75,600,000 views, then the series “Khattaf”, which received 54,500,000 views, and the second season of the series “Kasr Athem - Al Saradeeb”, which ranked fourth with 39,000,000 views.

Abu Dhabi Radio Network

The Quran Kareem radio station topped the most listened-to stations among Emirati and Arab listeners during Ramadan 2024. The programs “Man Sabaq Labaq”, “Yastaftoonak”, the Holy Quran recitation, “Emarat Al Kheir”, “Sabah Al Zankiren”, and “Fa’el Khair” were ranked in the top six.

Additionally, Emarat FM ranked number one as the most listened-to entertainment station among Emiratis with the program "Sabah Ramadan", while Star FM is the most listened-to radio station by Arab listeners with the music segment. Meanwhile, KADAK FM ranked first in the UAE with the "Weekend Insaniyat" program, and Radio 1 ranked third as the most listened to among the English stations.

During the Holy Month of Ramadan, the radio stations achieved 956,176 views on their digital platforms, and the total number video content views across all digital platforms affiliated with Abu Dhabi Media Network reached 640,623,691, an increase of more than 8% compared to the previous year.

Aletihad News Center recorded strong performance, with the video content on its digital platforms during Ramadan earning 14,440,000 views, an increase of 202% compared to the same period last year.

ADtv Application’s Exceptional Growth

The number of ADtv application visitors increased by 17% during the last Ramadan program cycle. The series “Al Boum” ranked first as the most watched series on the application, with 1,250,000 views, while the series “Baad Ghiayabk Aani” came in second place with 939,000 views, “Kasr Athem” ranked third with 835,000 views, followed by “Khattaf”, “Al Juzoua’a”, and “Raheel” in fourth, fifth, and sixth place respectively.

Additionally, Zahrat Al Khaleej magazine ranked first as the most widely read monthly magazine in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Al-Ittihad newspaper ranked first in readership retention and among the most widely read newspapers in the UAE. It is also the first newspaper in the UAE to use artificial intelligence technology to enhance its platform. Meanwhile, National Geographic Al Arabiya magazine's readership increased by more than 119% in the UAE and over 69% in Saudi Arabia compared to 2022.
