TRENDS Research & Advisory has pioneered a significant milestone in research and intellectual hubs by introducing the "TRENDS Research & Advisory Code of Ethics for Content and Scientific Research". This initiative highlights the Center's unwavering commitment to advancing its global research mission.


During a symposium at its Abu Dhabi headquarters' Grand Conference Hall, TRENDS revealed its innovative code. This code delineates the fundamental principles guiding research and knowledge initiatives at TRENDS Research & Advisory. At its core lies a firm commitment to upholding research integrity, professionalism, credibility, and excellence.


The “TRENDS Research & Advisory Code of Ethics for Content and Scientific Research” comprises 24 provisions, reflecting the Center's commitment to advancing knowledge and societal welfare. It also highlights the Center's global influence and dedication to fostering valuable scientific studies. By adhering to peer-reviewed research standards, the Center delivers sophisticated content across diverse domains such as economics, politics, social issues, science, technology, health, sports, and artificial intelligence. It champions a culture of peace, moderation, openness, and coexistence, uniting through shared human values. Additionally, TRENDS actively promotes national progress, encourages education and innovation, and supports sustainable development initiatives.
The code sheds light on the Center's vibrant role in nurturing and empowering youth, recognising their pivotal role in future prosperity and sustainable development. It emphasises the promotion of gender equality, safeguarding children's rights, and condemning violence, terrorism, and extremism. Moreover, the code underscores the importance of educating the younger generation about the dangers of extremist ideologies.


The “TRENDS Research & Advisory Code of Ethics for Content and Scientific Research” urges non-involvement in regional and international conflicts and promotes peaceful dispute resolution through international arbitration, adherence to international laws, and respect for diverse cultures and civilisations. The code affirms the need to uphold human rights, freedom of expression, and noble human values, alongside respecting intellectual property rights and copyrights, thereby enhancing global security.


The code fosters cooperation with UN-affiliated organisations and forges partnerships with esteemed international cultural and intellectual institutions. It emphasises the necessity of collaboration with renowned international organisations to disseminate beneficial knowledge, propose solutions to global issues, facilitate cultural and humanitarian exchanges with intellectual centres worldwide, and actively contribute to sustainable development. Ultimately, it aims to inspire youth, nurture their aspirations, and pave the way for a brighter future.


Dr Mohammad Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, emphasised the impact of the "TRENDS Research & Advisory Code of Ethics for Content and Scientific Research”, hailing it as a pioneering initiative, symbolic of the Center's steadfast dedication to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in scientific research. This charter is an essential framework guiding the Center's researchers and experts, nurturing a culture of excellence and accountability in all research endeavours.

Dr. Al-Ali reiterated TRENDS' unwavering commitment to the fundamental values of research, professionalism, credibility, and distinction. He emphasised the Charter's instrumental role in cementing the Center's position as a global frontrunner in research. He expressed confidence that this initiative will fuel advancements in scientific research on local, regional, and international fronts.
Mr Ibrahim Ali Khadem, Director of the Licensing and Media Content Monitoring Department at the UAE Media Council praised the “TRENDS Research & Advisory Code of Ethics for Content and Scientific Research”. With a keen eye on scientific research in the region, he hailed the initiative as a highly commendable step, especially amidst widespread misinformation and fake news. Khadem emphasised the pressing need for robust ethical principles to govern the work of researchers and experts.


He highlighted TRENDS' staunch dedication to these principles, which fosters trust in the credibility of its research findings and studies. This, he pointed out, encourages active participation in their publications. Khadem expressed optimism that this initiative would set a benchmark for other research centres, ensuring the dissemination of accurate and reliable information.


Mohammed Al-Salmi, Head of the Research Sector at TRENDS, affirmed that launching the "TRENDS Research & Advisory Code of Ethics for Content and Scientific Research" underscores the Center's pledge to maintain the highest standards of transparency and accountability in scientific research. He added that this initiative would serve as a crucial step in enhancing public trust in TRENDS' research and studies, thereby facilitating the dissemination of accurate and reliable knowledge across diverse fields.


Mr. Ali Mahmoud, a media expert at TRENDS, highlighted the importance of the "TRENDS Research & Advisory Code of Ethics for Content and Scientific Research" in enhancing trust and credibility in the media realm. He emphasised the necessity of adhering to rigorous scientific research standards and professional ethics to disseminate valuable and reliable information to society.


Mahmoud praised this initiative as a standard-setter for other research centres, elevating the quality of discourse in media and research. He applauded TRENDS for its proactive approach and expressed optimism that other research and media institutions would follow suit, achieving robust scientific research outcomes.
