Second Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), Maryam Majid bin Thaniah, received here on Tuesday the Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma, Alexander Babakov.
During the meeting, which was attended by Humaid Al Tayer and Sheikha Al Kaabi, members of the FNC, and Timur Zabirov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the UAE, ways to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries and councils were discussed.
They also stressed the importance of enhancing parliamentary cooperation on various issues of common interest, especially during participation in regional and international parliamentary forums.
