Parking options in Abu Dhabi's Mohamed Bin Zayed City are set to be expanded with the launch of four new multi-storey parking facilities.
The emirate's mobility solutions provider, Q Mobility, announced the activation of the new structures on Wednesday.
"This initiative aims to enhance parking management and optimise vehicle movement within the commercial area," the company said in a statement.
"It will provide additional parking capacity, improve traffic flow, and enhance the overall parking experience by making parking more accessible and convenient," Q Mobility added.
MBZ City is one of Abu Dhabi's fastest-growing suburbs and a hub for commercial and community activity.
Adjacent to the bustling Mussafah area, it is home to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, one of the UAE's largest hospitals for serious and complex care.
Q Mobility, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi investment and holding company ADQ, manages Mawaqif, the emirate's public parking system. The company announced that the four new facilities will provide a total of 1,446 parking spaces.
Building No.9 located in sector ME 12 includes 418 spaces, Building No.10 and Building No.11 in sector ME 10 house 99 spaces and 247 spaces respectively, while Building No.12 in sector ME 9 offers 682 parking spaces.
Motorists can pay fees for parking in the buildings through the TAMM and Darb apps, charged at Dh2 per hour for standard parking.
