ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

The National Academy for Childhood Development (NACD) has announced its participation in Najah Abu Dhabi 2026, one of the UAE’s leading international higher education fairs, taking place from October 18 - 21 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

Guided by the belief that investing in people begins in childhood, NACD will showcase promising educational and career opportunities in childhood development, highlighting the role of national talent in building a brighter future for children, families and the wider community.

The Academy’s participation reflects its vision to prepare qualified national professionals with the knowledge, skills and values needed to make a positive and lasting difference in children’s lives and enhance the quality of care, education, and services available to them. This vision recognises childhood development as both an academic and professional pathway, and a commitment to children and society that helps shape future generations.

Throughout the four-day fair, visitors to NACD’s stand will have the opportunity to explore its educational and training programmes, including the Accredited Vocational Diploma in Childhood Development, and learn about the career pathways available to graduates. The Academy will also host introductory and interactive sessions showcasing its learning experience and student benefits, alongside competitions and activities that highlight the importance of children’s early years and the role of professionals in supporting their growth and development.

The Accredited Vocational Diploma in Childhood Development combines academic knowledge with practical learning to prepare professionals to respond to children’s needs at different stages of development. Delivered entirely in Arabic, the 18-month programme comprises 25 learning modules covering a range of subject areas, alongside a six-month internship that enables students to apply their learning in professional settings.

Students also benefit from a full scholarship and a monthly stipend to support their educational journey and encourage them to pursue careers in this vital sector.

On this occasion, Dr Meera Alkaabi, Acting President of the National Academy for Childhood Development, said: “At the National Academy for Childhood Development, we believe that building the nation’s future begins with investing in people, and that investing in childhood is one of the most valuable ways to create an impact that spans generations.”

She added: “Our participation in Najah is an invitation for all students to discover a career path with purpose, value and a meaningful impact on society, alongside an opportunity to learn about our programmes. We prepare students for the workplace while developing national talent capable of making a tangible difference in children’s lives and helping nurture confident, empowered generations who can fulfil their ambitions.

Through this participation, we aim to reshape traditional perceptions of careers in childhood development, highlight opportunities for specialisation, professional growth and leadership, and reinforce their direct contribution to families’ quality of life and the future of society. Every professional we prepare for today could change a child’s life tomorrow. This is the impact we aspire to achieve.”

NACD invites students, parents and anyone interested in exploring educational and career opportunities with a positive social impact to visit its stand in Hall 9, Stand A09, at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

Visitors can learn more about the Academy’s programmes, initiatives and vision to empower national talent to help shape the future of childhood in the UAE.
