As the worlds of coffee and chocolate come together at the Tegahwa Al Hazm exhibition at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, the talents and skills of people of determination are also on display, with participants showcasing their coffee-making and barista expertise.

Ali bin Shmail Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Emirates Autism Society, said the initiative aims to empower people of determination through sports activities, community participation and opportunities to demonstrate their capabilities.

“Today, we have a group of young Emiratis who are creative in several fields, including coffee making and barista services. We have young people such as Fatima, Mina, Saleh and Ali, who have demonstrated exceptional talent in preparing coffee,” Al Kaabi said.

He added that their abilities often exceed visitors expectations, with many surprised by the quality of the coffee prepared by the young baristas.

“When you give them a task that matches their abilities, they can accomplish it with great skill and creativity. They have talents and capabilities that deserve recognition and opportunities to grow,” he said.

Al Kaabi also highlighted the achievements of Ali Saeed bin Samida, a member of the organisation who secured third place internationally at the Special Olympics World Games.

He said the achievement reflects the potential of people of determination and the importance of providing them with opportunities to excel. “This is a success for the UAE as a whole, made possible by the unlimited support given to young people,” Al Kaabi added.

Visitors to the exhibition also expressed their admiration for the initiative, highlighting its role in showcasing the talents of people of determination and encouraging their participation in the community.

"The exhibition is a wonderful initiative that allows us to discover the talents and abilities of people of determination," said Hamdan Al Maamari.

“It is encouraging to watch these young people make coffee with such confidence and skill, and it highlights how crucial it is to give everyone the chance to show off their abilities,” Al Maamari added.

Ahmed Al Hosani, another visitor, said he was impressed by the organisation of the exhibition and the quality of the work presented by the young participants

Initiatives like Tagahwa Al Hazem promote inclusion, increase awareness and emphasise the value of helping people of determination follow their passions and advance their careers, he added.

Tegahwa Al Hazm – which celebrates the world of coffee and chocolate by bringing together leading brands, specialists and enthusiasts under one roof – runs until October 17 at Marina Hall ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
