Flydubai has suspended all flights to and from Israel following an incident involving flight FZ1073 on September 30, as authorities continue their investigation.
The temporary suspension was made in coordination with the relevant authorities and will remain in place while they establish the facts surrounding the incident, the airline said in a statement.
“The safety and wellbeing of our passengers, crew and operations remain our highest priority,” a flydubai spokesperson said in a statement to Aletihad.
“This temporary suspension will allow the relevant authorities to continue their work and establish all the facts surrounding the incident.”
The airline stressed it remained in close coordination with government and aviation authorities.
"We are fully committed to supporting the ongoing investigation and maintaining the highest safety standards across our network. We remain in close coordination with government authorities, regulators and airport stakeholders and will review the suspension as more information becomes available," it added.
Flydubai also apologised to passengers whose travel plans may be affected, saying it was working to provide support and alternative travel arrangements where possible.
The suspension follows an incident aboard flight FZ1073, which was travelling from Dubai International Airport to Ben Gurion International Airport on September 30.
The aircraft diverted to Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia, where it landed safely after the crew brought an altercation inside the cockpit under control.
The airline previously said all passengers and crew were safe and that it had arranged alternative flights to transport passengers to Tel Aviv.
