Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Directorate of Traffic and Security Patrols, conducted a series of awareness lectures titled “Back to School” at a number of schools across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The initiative aims to enhance students’ traffic safety awareness and promote safe practices while travelling to and from school, as part of the force’s ongoing efforts to strengthen road safety and advance its strategic priority of “Smart Road Security.”
The lectures covered a range of important safety guidelines for students, including the need to wear seat belts at all times, as well as sit properly and safely inside vehicles.
They also highlighted the importance of following safety instructions when boarding and getting off school buses, while avoiding behaviours that could put students at risk.
The sessions also focused on educating students about safe road-crossing practices and the importance of using designated pedestrian crossings and remaining alert to moving vehicles.
In addition, students were introduced to potential traffic hazards and ways to avoid them, helping them develop the awareness and skills needed to navigate roads and school transportation safely.
