SAMI ABDERRAOUF (ABU DHABI)
Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs has announced the launch of a visit visa for individuals looking for job opportunities in the UAE.
The visa allows job seekers to enter the country, explore the labour market and search for suitable employment opportunities without requiring an employer or sponsor when applying for the visa.
Applicants can choose their stay period. The single-entry visa is issued for 60, 90 or 120 days and can be extended to up to 180 days, subject to the applicable rules and procedures.
The visa gives job seekers time to explore available opportunities, attend job interviews and connect with potential employers. It also provides job hunters with an opportunity to experience the UAE labour market firsthand, gain a better understanding of different sectors, build professional networks and identify positions that match their qualifications and experience.
Applicants must meet the required conditions and submit the necessary documents requested for the applicable category before travelling to the UAE.
Authorities stressed the importance of ensuring that all official requirements are met before applying, and warned against dealing with unauthorised entities claiming to provide the visa or promises of employment.
