The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the Israeli incursions into Syrian governorates of Quneitra and Daraa and the targeting of the territories with artillery shells.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) affirmed the UAE's complete rejection of the violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic and the threat to its security and stability.
In a statement, the Ministry said that the continued Israeli incursions into Syrian territory constitute a flagrant violation of international law and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement between Syria and Israel, which Israel is obligated to respect.
The Ministry stressed the UAE's firm position in support of Syria's stability and sovereignty over all its territory, its solidarity with the brotherly Syrian people, and its support for all efforts aimed at achieving their aspirations for security, peace, a dignified life, peaceful coexistence and development.
The Ministry also called on the international community to take immediate action to stop the repeated attacks on Syrian territory, halt the escalation, and stop all actions that would increase tension in the region and threaten regional and international peace and security.
