Teams from Abu Dhabi Police and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority successfully brought a fire under control on Friday morning at the Carpet Souk, located near Zayed Port in Abu Dhabi.
The rapid joint response prevented the blaze from spreading as authorities confirmed that cooling and smoke extraction operations were underway at the scene, according to a statement issued by Abu Dhabi Police.
No injuries have been reported.
Traffic conditions in the area were reported to be flowing normally.
