Abu Dhabi Police honour man who saved drowning victim

ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

Abu Dhabi Police has honoured a community member for his bravery and swift response in saving a person from drowning.

Brigadier Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Director of Operations Department at Abu Dhabi Police's Central Operations Sector, presented the recognition, praising the man's humanitarian action, which he said embodied social responsibility and initiative in protecting lives.

In a statement on X,  Abu Dhabi Police said that the brave man's response also reflected the important role community members play as partners in promoting security and safety.

The force also reiterated its commitment to recognising positive role models whose responsible and humanitarian actions support police and emergency efforts while strengthening cooperation and social solidarity across the community.

The honouree expressed gratitude to Abu Dhabi Police for the recognition, describing his actions as a humanitarian and social duty. He also praised the force's continued efforts to promote safety, security and community wellbeing.
