The Department of Municipalities and Transport’s Urban Planning and Permits Centre (UPPC) has signed a strategic partnership with Eagle Hills aimed at transforming selected development areas into vibrant community destinations across Abu Dhabi.
The partnership focuses on activating public spaces, waterfronts, and mixed-use destinations through a range of community-oriented experiences, including cultural events, seasonal activations, sports and wellness activities, entrepreneurship initiatives, family programmes, and public realm experiences designed to enhance liveability and quality of life.
As part of the collaboration, the Department of Municipalities and Transport and Eagle Hills will explore and implement activation opportunities within key development areas, creating dynamic destinations that strengthen social interaction, support tourism and economic activity, and contribute to Abu Dhabi’s long-term urban vision.
The initiative is focused on creating people-centred destinations and meaningful urban experiences that contribute to community wellbeing and destination identity.
His Excellency Abdulla Mohamed Al Blooshi, Director General of the Urban Planning and Permits Centre, said: “We aim to create more vibrant and engaging urban experiences that bring people closer to their communities and enhance the overall quality of life across Abu Dhabi.
"This partnership reflects our direction toward activating public spaces and transforming developments into integrated destinations that people can truly experience and enjoy.”
