School bus operations for all public and private nurseries, kindergartens and schools across the UAE have been postponed during the current phase, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Education on April 16.
The transport decision came alongside the ministry’s wider education updates this week. The Ministry of Education had already announced that distance learning would continue until Friday, April 17, 2026, for students as well as teaching and administrative staff. It later said students across the UAE would return to in-person learning from Monday, April 20.
The transport suspension therefore remains in effect during the current phase, even as schools prepare to resume classroom teaching next week. The ministry did not provide further operational details beyond confirming that school bus services had been paused for the time being.
