Abu Dhabi Police have urged motorists not to stop under bridges and tunnels during rainfall.
The Traffic Directorate and Security Patrols warned that these incorrect practices obstruct traffic flow and increase the likelihood of accidents, endangering the safety of road users, especially amid reduced visibility and heightened risks of skidding.
The authorities stressed the necessity of adhering to traffic safety rules and parking in safe locations, underscoring the importance of maintaining safe distances reducing speeds, avoiding areas where water accumulates or low-lying zones that may experience sudden water flow, and avoiding distractions while driving.
