Amid ongoing unstable weather conditions affecting the country, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority has issued a public reassurance emphasising that sounds—such as thunder—are normal during these weather conditions.
Officials highlighted that, in the unlikely event of a genuine threat, alerts and guidance would be promptly communicated through the National Early Warning System.
This system is designed to deliver immediate timely instructions to safeguard the public.
The statement further urged residents to rely exclusively on verified, official sources for updates and to avoid spreading unconfirmed information or rumors.
