ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

Etihad Airways has confirmed that all scheduled commercial flights to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended until 2pm UAE time on Thursday, March 5 due to ongoing regional airspace disruption.

In an operational update, the airline said some repositioning, cargo and repatriation flights may operate in coordination with UAE authorities and subject to strict operational and safety approvals.

“Regional airspace closures continue to impact operations and all scheduled commercial flights to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended until [2pm] UAE time Thursday, 05 March 2026,” the airline said.

Passengers have been advised not to travel to the airport unless contacted directly by the airline. Access to the airport will be restricted for those without confirmed travel documentation.

What passengers should know

Guests due to travel are advised to:

• Check their flight status before travelling to the airport
• Ensure their contact details are up to date in their booking

Passengers holding Etihad tickets issued on or before February 28, 2026, with original travel dates up to March 10, may rebook free of charge onto Etihad-operated flights up to March 31.

Guests scheduled to travel on Etihad flights until March 10 may also request a full refund through the airline or their travel agent.

Passengers who booked through travel agencies are advised to contact their agents directly for assistance.

Ongoing monitoring

Etihad said it is currently experiencing a high volume of calls and encouraged passengers seeking refunds to use the online refund request form.

“Safety remains our absolute priority, and services will operate only once all safety criteria are met,” the airline said.

Further updates will be issued as developments evolve.
