A statement posted on social media said the Joint Traffic Safety Committee has adjusted maximum speed limits on certain sections of the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road within Al Ain City to improve safety and traffic flow, and is calling on all drivers to comply for their safety and others on the road.

The speed limit on the Al Ain - Abu Dhabi Road (E22) from Al Aamerah Interchange to Al Sad Interchange changed from 160 kmph to 140 kmph.

Meanwhile, the speed limit on the Abu Dhabi - Al Ain Road (E22) from Al Maqam Underpass to Al Maqam Palace Interchange changed from 120 kmph to 100 kmph.

The new speed limits are effective from February 9, 2026.
