Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, Mother of the Nation, has visited Family Development Foundation and reviewed its services and achievements in supporting senior citizens.
During the visit, Her Highness reviewed programmes and initiatives such as Barakatna and Safe Home, commending their role in supporting senior citizens, and directed the launch of key community initiatives for the UAE Year of Family, including Hekma wa Sanad (Wisdom and Support), Barakatna Podcast (Our Blessing Podcast), Fi Osratina Baraka (Blessing in Our Family), and Madi Ahlihna (Our Ancestors' Past).
Her Highness also reviewed FDF’s institutional transformation project, aimed at enhancing efficiency and operational agility, and emphasised the importance of collaborating with government health entities and enhancing healthcare services for senior citizens in line with international best practices.
Her Highness further commended the foundation’s strategy and three focus areas, namely enhancing overall quality of life for senior citizens, improving family resilience, and empowering institutional excellence.
