Rain hit parts of Abu Dhabi on Sunday morning, according a weather situation summary issued today.
The weather will be rainy and cloudy on Sunday, with moderate to heavy rain lashing parts of Abu Dhabi.
Rain is currently affecting some coastal areas of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, ranging from light to moderate, extending to some northern areas.
Rain is expected to continue over parts of the coastal, eastern, and northern areas in the afternoon, ranging from light to moderate, and may become heavy at times, especially over the north.
Towards the night, a second wave will move in starting from the coastal areas of Abu Dhabi and will gradually extend to the coastal, eastern, and northern areas. Cloud cover will decrease and become confined to the coastal and northern areas.
Monday morning will see the weather system gradually subside.
Abu Dhabi Police issued a traffic advisory for motorists, urging them to exercise caution due to the rainy weather and to follow the changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.
