Dubai Police has warned the public against engaging with fraudulent domestic worker recruitment offices and unverified accounts on social media.
People should be cautious against being misled by online advertisements, and avoid dealing with unknown individuals outside legal channels.
Anyone who falls victim to, or suspects, a scam is advised to report it immediately via the e-Crime platform, by calling 901, or through the Police Eye service.
The warning follows a reported case in which a woman lost Dh10,000 after dealing with a fraudulent recruitment office promoted on social media.
