According to the insight, Mamdani’s electoral platform, built around the slogan “relentless improvement,” is anchored in four strategic pillars aimed at addressing the cost-of-living crisis. He promised to freeze rents on nearly one million apartments, build 200,000 affordable housing units, raise the minimum wage to $30 by 2030, propose fare-free buses and expanded rapid transit corridors, and fund public services through progressive taxes on wealthy individuals and large corporations.
