Abu Dhabi Police have urged drivers to avoid distractions while crossing intersections and traffic lights, highlighting the severe consequences of distracted driving, especially when turning left.

In collaboration with the Monitoring and Control Center, Abu Dhabi Police released a video illustrating accidents caused by a lack of focus on the road. They emphasised that distractions—such as browsing the internet, using social media, making phone calls, or taking pictures—can cause vehicles to drift unexpectedly, leading to serious traffic accidents.

The police have reminded drivers to maintain their attention while driving, to be vigilant about pedestrians, road signs, and their surroundings, and to follow the instructions of traffic officers to prevent accidents. They stressed that multitasking while driving is dangerous and should be avoided.
