The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), in cooperation with relevant authorities, has issued a decision to close “Oud Al Reem Domestic Worker Recruitment Office” in Ajman and revoked its licence after the agency violated the commitments and regulations.
In a post on its official social media platforms, the ministry said that the violations were confirmed by the Ministry’s inspection system reports, as part of its ongoing regulatory oversight of domestic worker recruitment agencies.
The Ministry added that its pioneering complaints system and proactive response to customer complaints also contributed to identifying violations.
The Ministry called on customers to report negative practices by contacting the call centre at 600590000, and advised employers on the importance of dealing only with accredited and licensed agencies, whose details can be found on the MoHRE website (http://mohre.gov.ae) to avoid legal accountability that may arise from dealing with unlicensed parties.
