The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) and Dubai Police have organised a joint awareness campaign at the workers' accommodations in Jebel Ali in Dubai.
In a post on its official "X" account, the ministry said the campaign, launched under the theme "Know Your Rights", aiming to educate workers on their rights.
The ministry added: "We continued the joint awareness campaign with Dubai Police at workers’ accommodations in the Jebel Ali area, where more than 1,500 workers took part in awareness sessions covering the 'Know Your Rights' initiative, cybercrime awareness, the dangers of drugs, as well as traffic safety guidelines."
MoHRE said that the campaign, held in partnership with relevant authorities, reflects the ministry’s commitment to raising awareness and fostering a culture of safety within workers’ communities.
The United Arab Emirates has focused its efforts on regulating labour relations and defining the rights and obligations of the parties within these relations in a balanced manner.
MoHRE is committed to achieving the tasks entrusted to the ministry as part of the vision and strategic goals of the government, in a country where workers of multiple nationalities coexist under the rule of the UAE’s laws.
