UAE authorities have urged residents to be careful on the roads amid rainy and inclement weather conditions across the country.
The Ministry of Interior called for residents to drive carefully, and to avoid seas and beaches.
"Given the current weather conditions across several areas in the country, including various levels of rain and winds, sometimes accompanied by thunder, lightning, and reduced visibility in some areas of the UAE, please...be cautious [and] reduce speed on roads," the Ministry posted in a notice on its social media platforms.
"Avoid the sea and beaches, [and] avoid water ponds and fast-moving streams," the Ministry urged.

Abu Dhabi Police also urged motorists to adhere to safe driving practices, follow safety precautions, and avoid distractions while driving during rainfall and periods of unstable weather.
Abu Dhabi Police's Traffic and Patrols Directorate called on drivers to comply with the posted speed limits when the variable speed reduction system is activated on roads, and to maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. Motorists have also been advised to avoid sudden braking, and to significantly reduce speed when making turns in order to prevent skidding.
In cases when visibility is severely reduced, drivers should also pull over safely on the side of the road.
Abu Dhabi Police warned motorists against reckless and dangerous driving, including drifting, emphasising that driving in the rain calls for extra care.
The authority also urged residents to steer clear of valleys, areas where water accumulates, electrical transmission lines, as well as open areas and locations near trees in order to ensure safety during rainy weather conditions.
