The Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) General Headquarters organised a special visit to Al Maqta’a Museum in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of employees belonging to the People of Determination community.
The visit was part of ADP’s activities marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD), the UN-observed global day observed annually on December 3.
During the visit, participants learned about the history of Al Maqta’a, the legacy of traditional police work, and the museum’s historical and cultural significance, which reflects Abu Dhabi’s security journey and the evolution of policing over the years.
Director of the Finance and Services Department, Major General Khalifa Mohammed Al Khaili, stressed the importance of commemorating this international day, which aims to promote the rights and well-being of People of Determination.
He noted that countries around the world dedicate this day to supporting efforts that advance their inclusion and empowerment within their communities.
He added that ADP continues to achieve notable progress in supporting and empowering People of Determination, recognising their role as active partners in the journey of development and excellence, by providing a positive and inclusive work environment that ensures equal access, enables them to unlock their potential, and enhances their participation across various professional and societal pathways.
Participants expressed their appreciation to ADP for this initiative, which reflects the organisation’s care for People of Determination and its ongoing commitment to their inclusion, as well as its efforts to foster a sense of belonging and positivity in the workplace.
