MUDHI ALOBTHANI (ABU DHABI)

Tawdheef x Zaheb 2025, a premier employment and career development festival currently underway at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, is providing young Emiratis with a vital platform to enhance their skills and connect with top employers.

The three-day event, running until November 20, gives Emirati youth direct access to more than 100 employers across government and private sectors.

The event underscores the UAE’s ongoing commitment to empowering both Emiratis and non-Emiratis in the workforce, offering tools, guidance, and platforms to succeed in today’s competitive market.

Visitors at the fair can participate in a variety of workshops and interactive sessions. These include career consultations, trial interviews, CV and LinkedIn optimisation, and networking guidance - each designed to help candidates understand their strengths, identify suitable career paths, and prepare for real-world job applications.

AI is playing a key role in making these connections faster and more effective. As Rashed Dawlaty, Founder of Dawlaty, explained: “We use artificial intelligence to match citizens with the right opportunities. Our platform learns each user’s ambitions and skills to ensure the right person is in the right role. This helps open doors faster and more accurately than ever before.”

The UAE’s approach to workforce development was emphasised by Tariq Al Jabareen, CEO of Talent One, who said: “Our primary goal is to meet as many Emirati applicants as possible and help them secure suitable positions. We guide them in improving their CVs, developing skills, and navigating career paths. We aim to nurture future leaders, not just fill jobs.”

Meanwhile, Mai Fouad from the Development Platform, highlighted the importance of continuous learning: “The market is highly competitive, and Emiratis must continuously upskill to stand out. Our sessions equip job seekers with essential skills-from trial interviews to LinkedIn optimisation - helping them explore their interests and prepare for the right opportunities.”
