Abu Dhabi University launched into Young ADIPEC with a ‘Mars Rover’ of its own, marking a new milestone in student innovation.

Developed to simulate exploration on the Red Planet, the rover features an advanced dual-poke system that enhances its mobility and efficiency.

It is equipped with six high-performance DC motors to drive its movements and four servo motors for the precise articulation of its components.

The system also integrates cameras to assist in navigation and cleaning tasks, while robotic motors manage route planning and obstacle avoidance.

In an interview with Aletihad, ADU student Helal Saeed highlighted the innovative use of artificial intelligence to improve the rover’s performance and adaptability in complex environments.

The project demonstrates not only the technical skills of the students but also their ability to integrate robotics, automation, and AI into practical solutions.

ADU’s participation in Young ADIPEC spotlights the university’s commitment to fostering innovation and research through its academic programmes and student projects.

By presenting initiatives like the Mars Rover, ADU aims to inspire young minds, promote scientific exploration, and strengthen its role in advancing technology and education in the UAE.
