In the spirit of gratitude and shared achievement, Aletihad News Center organised its annual employee gathering to celebrate the 56th anniversary of the founding of Aletihad newspaper.
The event affirmed the Center’s steadfast approach to strengthening team spirit, and promoting a culture of dedication and institutional excellence among employees across its editorial, technical, and administrative departments.
The Center’s management underlined its commitment to supporting its staff, recognising their achievements, and honouring outstanding employees who have contributed to enhancing the standing and industry leadership of the Abu Dhabi Media Network both locally and regionally.
Spirit of Commitment
The gathering began with a speech by Dr. Hamad Al Kaabi, Chief Aletihad News Center Officer, who welcomed all employees and expressed his pride in the accomplishments achieved over the past year, thanks to the continued efforts and collaboration of the teams.
Dr Al Kaabi praised the remarkable progress witnessed by the Center in both digital and print media operations, emphasising that success would not have been possible without the commitment and sense of belonging demonstrated by Aletihad News Center’s employees across all divisions.
Redoubling Efforts
Dr Al Kaabi urged all employees to continue working with a spirit of initiative and creativity, and to redouble efforts to reinforce the Center’s reputation as a model of professionalism and responsibility, while keeping pace with the rapid developments in the regional and global media landscape.
He stressed that the coming phase will require continued development and innovation in all content produced - whether on digital platforms or in print - to align with the nation’s forward-looking media vision.
Atmosphere of Connection
The event featured entertainment and interactive segments that fostered communication and team spirit among employees. Special recognition was reserved for a number of outstanding staff members who made commendable contributions across editorial, administrative, and technical disciplines, in appreciation of their dedication and active role in achieving the Center’s strategic objectives.
The honourees included a group of young colleagues who proved that creativity knows no age - it only requires passion, ambition, and determination.
Inspiring Segments
The event opened with a short film titled “Aletihad’s Journey Toward the Future”, highlighting the newspaper’s key achievements in 2025.
Guest artists Saeed Batija and Salem Al-Ayyan - two prominent figures in the theatre and television scene - presented a performance addressing the dangers of spreading rumours, showing how such behaviour harms not only the individual but the entire system.
Both artists expressed their happiness at participating in Aletihad’s 56th anniversary celebrations and said they were honoured to perform a scene that carried a serious and meaningful message. They described their participation at the event as a source of pride.
As part of the gathering, a fun interactive segment titled “Your Luck, Your Destiny” was held, featuring an electronic raffle that selected 20 winners from among the employees of Aletihad News Center. The segment also included engaging team games that fostered a spirit of cooperation and healthy competition.
Quality Performance
The gathering concluded with an affirmation of the importance of holding such annual meetings, which embody the values of appreciation and institutional belonging, and strengthen the sense of family within the Center.
This, in turn, positively impacts performance quality and the production of distinguished media content that meets the public’s expectations and aligns with the leadership’s media vision for the nation.
