The National Insurance Company – Daman’s recently launched “Amanak Chrome” plan addresses a health insurance gap in the Northern Emirates while moving healthcare closer to where people live and work, according to the company’s CEO, Khaled Ateeq Aldhaheri.
Designed for SMEs and large firms, the new Amanak Chrome plan covers groups from 20 up to 2,000 members, including dependents, with premiums starting at Dh450.
“Affordability and inclusivity are at the heart of Amanak Chrome,” Aldhaheri told Aletihad.
“With premiums starting from Dh450, we are creating an accessible entry point for companies to insure workers who often fall below the thresholds of traditional plans,” he added.
As for the coverage, Aldhaheri noted that it goes beyond basic healthcare, spanning inpatient and outpatient services, maternity benefits, elective procedures, and nationwide emergency care, “so families can access everything from preventive check-ups to urgent treatment”.
The programme is offered with two plan types, both including comprehensive coverage with elective and emergency treatments for inpatient and outpatient services, with emergency coverage within the Northern Emirates, while the second plan provides additional maternity benefits, and home-country coverage for expatriates, excluding the United States and Canada, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
Aldhaheri noted that they are partnering with trusted healthcare providers across the Northern Emirates to ensure a wide, accessible network of clinics, hospitals, and specialised services: ”Daman’s scale helps us keep pricing competitive, while our provider partnerships reduce administrative costs, ensuring members enjoy easier access without compromising quality.”
The Amanak Chrome programme is directly aligned with the UAE’s long-term aim of ensuring a comprehensive, inclusive health insurance system, Aldhaheri said.
“By extending coverage to previously uninsured private-sector workers, we are helping to fulfil that mandate and strengthen the overall safety net.”
