DUBAI (ALETIHAD)
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in coordination with Dubai Police, announced on Sunday that delivery bikes will no longer be permitted on the fast lane from November onwards.
"As part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety, RTA and Dubai Police General Headquarters announce that delivery bikes will be prohibited from fast lanes on city roads starting November 1, 2025," the RTA posted on its social media platforms.
"Riders will not be allowed to use the two leftmost lanes on roads with five lanes or more, or the leftmost lane on roads with three or four lanes," the authority said.
"This step aims to better organise the sector and enhance the delivery and transport experience across Dubai," RTA added.
