As part of its global efforts and to emphasise its strategy to enhance international presence and expand academic and intellectual cooperation, TRENDS Research and Advisory has launched its virtual office in Amman, the Jordanian capital.
The move marks a qualitative new step towards consolidating its position as a leading research platform in the region and globally. This opening serves as a window for communication with regional and international think tanks and research centres. It also serves as a bridge to establish strategic partnerships that support development paths and knowledge-based decision-making.
High-profile Event
The launch ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials and industry leaders, including Dr. Mohammad Hussein Al-Momani, Minister of Government Communication and Government Spokesperson of Jordan; Dr. Muhannad Mubaidin, former Minister of Government Communication; Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory; Prof. Radwan El Sayed, Dean of the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research College at Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities; Dr. Hamad Al Kaabi, Chief Aletihad News Center Officer at Abu Dhabi Media Network and Editor-in-Chief of Aletihad newspaper; Jafer Al Zoubi, the General Manager of Al Mamlaka TV; Hazem AlDmour, General Manager of Strategiecs Institute for Strategic Studies and Research; Heyam Al-Karaki, General Manager of Al-Rai Newspaper; and Raed Omari, Editor-in-Chief of The Jordan Times. Several academics, university faculty members, researchers, and media professionals also attended the ceremony.
Major Milestone
In the welcome and opening speech, Dr. Al-Ali emphasised that the launch of the Amman office is a significant milestone in TRENDS’ global research expansion. He explained that the Jordanian capital is closely linked to his academic and personal journey, and that the selection carries significant research and intellectual dimensions, representing more than a mere geographical expansion. It also conveys a message of appreciation and recognition of Jordan’s status, as well as its capital, Amman, as a centre for dialogue and scientific research.
He expressed confidence that the Amman office will serve as a platform for productive partnerships and scientific and intellectual cooperation, supporting the development, stability, and innovation in the region. He thanked and appreciated the Jordanian academic and media leaders who participated in the event, emphasising that their presence reflects the strong relations between research institutions in the UAE and Jordan.
Dr. Al-Ali explained that TRENDS, through its Amman office, looks forward to building long-term strategic partnerships with Jordanian and regional institutions and working together on initiatives and projects that serve development and stability issues in the region and the world.
A Qualitative Addition
Dr. Al Kaabi emphasised that the opening of the Amman office marked a qualitative addition to the centre’s activities, reinforcing its role as a beacon for scientific research and systematic analysis of regional and global developments.
Dr. Al Kaabi praised the ongoing partnership between the Aletihad News Center and TRENDS since 2021, which has resulted in a series of successful scientific and media events and seminars rich in knowledge content.
He added: “This partnership fosters integration between research institutions and the media, enriching public discourse with distinguished content grounded in accurate knowledge.”
Promoting DialogueAl Zoubi welcomed TRENDS Research and Advisory, its CEO, and the accompanying delegation. He stated that the opening of TRENDS Research and Advisory’s office in Amman shows the depth of fraternal relations and reflects a shared belief in the importance of knowledge, in-depth analysis, and informed decision-making, especially in a time of accelerating regional and international challenges.
Al Zoubi added that the presence of TRENDS’ office in Amman is a qualitative addition to the research and intellectual scene, reflecting a commitment to promoting constructive dialogue, exchanging expertise, and supporting efforts aimed at understanding contemporary issues with awareness and professionalism. He stated that Jordanian media institutions appreciate this initiative and view it as a leader of thought and analysis, affirming these institutions’ support for any initiative that contributes to promoting stability, rejecting violence and hate speech, and creating a better future.
The Amman office comprises an elite group of researchers with diverse experiences. It will utilise the latest artificial intelligence and modern technologies to support TRENDS’ activities, conduct in-depth studies, and organise specialised research conferences and events. The office will also contribute to strengthening TRENDS’ international presence and consolidating its role as a platform for scientific research and intellectual dialogue, supporting decision-makers and providing academic and media institutions with strategic and objective insights on current and future issues.
Knowledge Industry
Researcher Abdulaziz Al Marzooqi, Director of Global Offices Department at TRENDS Research and Advisory, explained that the opening of TRENDS Research and Advisory’s office in Amman will enhance cooperation between TRENDS and Jordanian research, intellectual, and media institutions in the fields of study, thought, and media. It also underscores the unified vision of the importance of strengthening the knowledge industry, developing future-foreseeing tools, and confronting challenges with scientific and solid insights.
Yazan Basheer, Director of TRENDS Virtual Office in Amman, stated that this new office marked the continuation of regional efforts aimed at disseminating knowledge for the future and building stable and prosperous societies founded on the values of dialogue, tolerance, openness, and academic cooperation.
