MUDHI ALOBTHANI (ABU DHABI)
The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat (Awqaf) has announced the opening of registration for Emirati citizens wishing to perform the Hajj pilgrimage for the 1447H / 2025-2026 season.
This initiative is part of the authority’s early preparations aimed at enhancing service efficiency and facilitating all procedures for the upcoming Hajj.
The registration period will commence on September 24 and continue until October 9. Interested participants can sign up through the authority’s official website at www.awqaf.gov.ae or via the authority’s smart application, AWQAFUAE, ensuring an easy and convenient registration process.
Awqaf emphasised that this registration opportunity is available for UAE citizens who have not previously performed Hajj, reflecting the authority’s broader efforts to streamline operations, ensure transparency, and provide timely services to all pilgrims.
For the previous Hajj season, more than 60,000 Emiratis submitted applications, with a total of 6,228 approved for the pilgrimage, in accordance with the quota allocated by Saudi authorities.
By opening the registration early, the authority aims to manage Hajj arrangements efficiently, reduce administrative challenges, and guarantee a smooth experience for all participants.
UAE citizens interested in performing Hajj for the 1447H season are encouraged to complete the registration within the specified period to ensure proper planning and coordination of services.
