ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued its weather predictions for September 3-5, 2025.

The UAE is expected to be affected by the combined influence of surface and upper-level low-pressure systems extending from the south and the northward movement of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

A moist air mass flowing from the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman is expected to interact with rising daytime temperatures and the country’s eastern mountain ranges, leading to the formation of convective clouds over scattered areas.

According to the forecast, eastern and southern regions, with possible extension into some internal areas, will see cloud activity accompanied by rainfall of varying intensities. Certain areas will experience occasional thunder, lightning, and even small hail, particularly on Wednesday and Thursday.

Winds will range from southeasterly to northeasterly, moderate at times but becoming fresh to strong with convective cloud activity. This may raise dust and sand, leading to reduced horizontal visibility in affected areas.

Sea conditions are expected to be slight to moderate in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
