SARA ALZAABI (ABU DHABI)
Three inspiring women of determination are committed to serving their homeland through the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) - a meaningful way to pay it forward and show gratitude for the unwavering support and encouragement they have received through the years.
For Hamda Al Mansoori, the ZHO feels like a second home - a place that has embraced her since the age of eight. She has been a proud employee of the organisation for 19 years now.
“Being a woman of determination, an employee serving her country, and a mother of three children who dream of becoming heroes in the service of the nation — is a source of pride and achievement for me,” Al Mansoori, Services Assistant at the ZHO’s Early Intervention Department, told Aletihad in an interview.
Every year, she sees Emirati Women’s Day as a reminder that she could shape her own future. “Every Emirati girl should be proud of who they are [and draw strength from the message of our leaders] to achieve their goals.”
Shaikha Al Mansoori, a visual impairment specialist at the Ministry of Education, can confidently say that she has already achieved her dream. “I have worked hard to make an impact on the lives of the blind.”
Beyond her profession, she continues to raise awareness through content that highlights the challenges and strengths of the blind community.
She expressed gratitude for ZHO’s support, especially in “providing integration supervision and early intervention services”.
Al Mansoori urged women to chase their dreams and reach for the stars, regardless of the circumstances.
“You can and do it because you have a dream, and it will come true. Believe in your dream, and don’t wait for encouragement and applause from anyone.”
Balancing her studies, work, and sports, Reem Al Dhabyani believes true strength lies in “determination and self-belief”.
“Being a player in the Dubai Club for the People of Determination and presenter for the Al Wathiqa Programme are a significant achievement for me, as it allows me to convey the voices of people of determination to the community,” she told Aletihad.
