Whether it is through the influential world of media or within the home, the UAE’s empowered women are confident they can help shape the future.
Media professional and content producer Lamya Ali Alsaiqal believes that by working diligently, she can help build and write the country’s future.
“I'm always looking to improve my abilities through my job in media, cultural creativity, and heritage. Every encounter gives me the chance to grow and improve my skills,” Alsaiqal told Aletihad.
“My own experience, in my opinion, is part of a larger national narrative — one in which the UAE has entrusted women to be vital collaborators in development and advancement.”
Fakhira Al Hosani, a media student at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in Abu Dhabi, sees her education as a way to “find her voice as an Emirati woman”.
“At HCT, I gained knowledge on how to discuss the struggles and achievements of our society using both words and images,” she said.
“The media is a force for change in the modern world, and I think Emirati women are important both as content producers and consumers. I feel that every report or article I write helps express our identity and ideals and raise social consciousness."
Those who have chosen a life outside the spotlight remain deeply committed to nation-building — by raising a generation rooted in heritage and ready to carry the country’s development journey forward.
Mother and housewife Maryam Al Ali said: "Being a homemaker makes me proud because I am influencing the future from within my house."
