In line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the concerned authorities to support wildfire extinguishing efforts in Montenegro, a UAE team has begun participating in operations to combat fires raging across several areas of the country.
A UAE aircraft equipped for firefighting and loaded with the necessary equipment and supplies departed Abu Dhabi on Monday for Podgorica to take part in urgent response efforts aimed at bringing the wildfires under control.
The directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reflect the UAE’s solidarity, leadership and people alike, with the Government and people of the friendly Republic of Montenegro in their efforts to confront the unprecedented wildfire disaster currently affecting the country.
