Khazna Data Centers, one of the fastest-growing hyperscale data centre platforms in the world, has entered into a strategic alliance with the International Data Center Authority (IDCA) to align its operations with global digital infrastructure standards.
The partnership, announced on Tuesday, will see the Washington D.C.-based IDCA carry out a comprehensive evaluation of Khazna’s infrastructure and operations using its globally recognised standards. This includes audits of data centre design, service delivery models, cloud and AI deployments, and workforce development practices. The certification process officially began on July 1, with joint teams from both organisations already mobilised.
“IDCA’s framework is an industry benchmark that reflects the full complexity of modern digital infrastructure, particularly in cloud and AI,” said Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna. “Our alignment to these standards is another step towards aligning with broader international benchmarks.”
IDCA Chairman and CEO Mehdi Paryavi noted the alliance will assure Khazna’s clients that their data is hosted in facilities adhering to the highest global standards. “Khazna plays such a critical role in the future of digital infrastructure for cloud and AI, and its adoption of IDCA standards exhibits the company’s commitment in making a global impact,” he said.
Alnaqbi added that the partnership demonstrates Khazna’s commitment to building “intelligent, efficient, and globally competitive data centres” as AI continues to transform the industry.
IDCA projects global data centre capacity to grow from approximately 55 gigawatts today to as much as 250 to 300 gigawatts by 2030. This, Paryavi said, underscores the need for “leading emerging global players like Khazna” to scale in accordance with international benchmarks.
Khazna is known for delivering high-density, energy-efficient infrastructure that supports the digital transformation of governments, businesses, and societies. Its data centres are tailored to meet the demands of next-generation AI-powered applications.
The IDCA, a bipartisan global think tank, works with countries and organisations worldwide to develop AI policies, digital economies, and standardised approaches to digital infrastructure. Represented in over 40 countries, IDCA’s presence spans regions including the Middle East, North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia Pacific.
