The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) announced that the highest temperature recorded in the UAE on Sunday was 48°C in Mezaira, located in Al Dhafra region.
The weather bureau recorded the five highest temperatures across the country on Sunday in the following areas:
- Mezaira: 48°C at 2:45pm
- Mukhariz: 47.8°C at 2:45pm
- Um Azimul: 47.6°C at 3:00pm
- Owtaid: 47.5°C at 2:30pm
- Al Jazeera B.G.: 47.4°C at 3:15pm
