DUBAI (ALETIHAD)
Emirates has temporarily suspended all its flights to Iraq and Iran until Monday, June 30, the airline annouced in a statement on Monday.
"Due to the regional situation, Emirates has temporarily suspended all flights to Iran (Tehran) and Iraq (Baghdad and Basra), until and including Monday, June 30, 2025. We are operating as scheduled to all other destinations," Emirates said.
The airline urged travellers to check their flight status before proceeding to the airport.
"Customers connecting through Dubai with final destinations in Iraq and Iran will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice. Customers impacted by flight cancellations must contact their travel agency for rebooking," it added.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers. We continue to closely monitor developments. The safety of our passengers, employees and operations will always be our top priority," the statement said.
Emirates' flight suspension mirrors similar cancellations by Etihad and flydubai on Monday following US strikes on multiple nuclear sites in Iran. Airlines have continued to suspend flight routes in the region ever since Israel launched its attacks on Iran on June 13.
