In a move that reflects TRENDS Research & Advisory’s commitment to advancing scientific research and empowering youth, the Center has announced restructuring the TRENDS Youth Council for 2025 and establishing the Advisory Council for the TRENDS Youth Council.
This initiative is part of an ambitious vision aimed at solidifying the role of young researchers as future leaders in research while providing an enabling environment for refining their skills and empowering them to contribute innovative intellectual insights.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, emphasized that these initiatives align with the center’s strategy to build a modern and sustainable research ecosystem. This strategy focuses on nurturing young talents and engaging them in research decision-making.
He added that restructuring the Youth Council and introducing an Advisory Council are intended to inject new energy, enhance young researchers' role in shaping research’s future, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Dr. Al-Ali further highlighted that TRENDS considers youth a true asset in any society, particularly in the field of scientific research, stating: “Through the TRENDS Youth Council, the Center aims to provide a comprehensive platform that enables young researchers to refine their skills, exchange ideas, and participate in strategic research projects that elevate the global standing of Arab research.”
Researcher Al Anood Al Hosani has been appointed Head of the TRENDS Youth Council 2025. Expressing her pride in this trust bestowed upon her by TRENDS’ leadership, she affirmed that the council strives to build a strong foundation of young researchers capable of effectively contributing to decision-making and providing innovative solutions to societal challenges.
Al Hosani stated that with its new structure and advisory council, the Youth Council aspires to create an environment that fosters creativity and innovation, enhances young researchers’ analytical and reasoning skills, and produces scientifically valuable and impactful studies and research.
The newly formed TRENDS Youth Council includes a distinguished group of young researchers:
- Al Anood Al Hosani – Head
- Zayed Al Dhaheri – Deputy Head; researchers Shamma Al Qutba, Najla Al Madfa, Abrar Al Ali, Maryam Al Junaibi, Rashid Al Hosani, Abdullah Al Khaja, Nayef Al Zaabi, and Mohammed Al Ahmed – Council Members.
As an additional step to enhance guidance and support for young researchers, TRENDS has established the Advisory Council for the TRENDS Youth Council. This council consists of a select group of experienced male and female researchers tasked with guiding and advising the Youth Council to ensure the quality of research outputs.
The Advisory Council includes Al Yazia Al Hosani, Deputy Head of the Administrative and media Affairs Sector; Warda Al Menhali, Director of Corporate Communication; Rawdha Al Marzouqi, Researcher / Director of Distribution and exhibitions; Sultan Al Ali, Researcher / Director of the Global Barometer Department; and Ali Al Ali, Researcher / Administrative Director at TRENDS Dubai.
Supported by its Advisory Council, the TRENDS Youth Council seeks to create a tangible impact on the research landscape by launching pioneering initiatives that strengthen the role of youth in scientific research. It also aims to organize specialized academic events to empower young researchers and actively participate in strategic research projects that enhance knowledge quality and elevate the standing of scientific research.
