Dubai Police's smart detection systems have identified a driver who was putting his child's life at risk by allowing the child to sit on his lap while driving.
In a post on the X platform, Dubai Police stated that their systems detected the dangerous situation. They emphasised that "according to Federal Traffic Law, front-seat passengers must be at least 145 cm tall and over the age of 10."

Driving in a manner that endangers the life or safety of motorists or others can result in a fine of DH2000, 23 black points, and the impoundment of the vehicle for 60 days. Dubai Police shared a video that includes snippets of the incident.
