SARA ALZAABI (ABU DHABI)
The UAE is forecast to experience mild weather during Ramadan, with chances of a rise in temperatures and a drop in humidity levels in the second of March as winter comes to a close, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
The weather during most of the days of Ramadan will feature mild mornings and evenings; however, on occasion, the extension of the low-pressure system is expected to bring showers, gusty winds, or dust, according to the NCM bulletin.
Humidity is forecast to slightly decrease during March when compared to February, especially during the second half of the month. According to the NCM, mean relative humidity is expected to hover around 51% with chances of fog and mist formation over scattered parts of the country.
Winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly during late night and morning shifting to northwesterly to northeasterly during afternoon and evening. Average wind speeds are forecast to stand at around 13 km/hour, while an occasional gust could reach about 183km/hour.
At the start of Ramadan, the fasting hours will be around 13 hours, and for almost the last week of the month, it will stretch a little closer to about 13 hours and 41 minutes depending on the location.
The average temperature for March, according to the NCM, is forecast to range between 22°C and 25°C.
Maximum temperatures during March typically range between 27°C and 32°C, while minimums generally fluctuate between 16°C and 19°C.
